The world famous Tundra Buggy Lodge is a truly unique property and experience located on the tundra in the heart of polar bear country near Churchill. Tundra Buggy Lodge Features
The Lodge consists of two accommodation units that sleeps up to 40 guests, a lounge, a dining hall, and staff quarters. Outdoor viewing platforms connect each unit and a great spot for outdoor photography. The Lodge is also equipped with exterior field lights allowing for bear watching even at night.
Accommodation: consists of 10 upper and 10 lower sleeping berths, each with a window, a reading light and four 110-volt electrical outlets. Each berth houses a standard twin-sized coil mattress 190 cm long by 98 cm wide (74.5 in long by 38.5 in wide). A sound-dampening curtain provides privacy by separating the berths from the aisle. Each berth is equipped with a thermostat controlled heating unit that can be adjusted to your desired temperature. Each 20-person accommodation unit has three bathrooms, two of which are equipped with showers.
Lounge: The Thanadelthur Lounge is used for relaxation, presentations, wildlife and northern lights viewing. It has WiFi accessibility, a multi-touch SmartBoard screen, and a robust audio system. A perfect place to mingle over pre-dinner drinks, read, share images, swap stories and enjoy post-dinner wildlife presentations hosted by wildlife experts. It includes panoramic views from the wall-to-ceiling windows.
Rooftop Observation Deck: boasts a 360° view of the tundra and wildlife or an unobstructed view of the northern lights.
Dining Hall: known as Dan's Diner, this is an exclusively remote dining affair where you’ll have a chef on hand creating regional cuisine and hearty home-cooked favourites. Enjoy a filling breakfast to prepare for your day of wildlife viewing on the tundra and unwind to a delectable dinner to cap off your magical night.
