A self-guided representative will meet you at your hotel to deliver your equipment, conduct a briefing on road conditions and travel in Vietnam, and explain how to use the provided technology. Your hotel, Moonlight Hue, is a 2013 luxury stay situated in the heart of Hue City's vibrant walking street area, featuring modern rooms with city or river views. You can then try out your new wheels on a loop ride, exploring the many faces of this serene city, with its disintegrating citadel walls, atmospheric Perfume River, and French colonial architecture. |

Approx 65 km (40 miles), 3-5 hours biking After clearing the city limits, you'll find yourself on country roads and with only an occasional vehicle passing by. Rice fields will give way to low dunes, and farmers' homes begin to transition into fishing cottages as the ocean comes into view. You'll enjoy cycling some winding hills, weaving in and out of the coastline throughout the day. There will be lots of Vietnamese food available along the way to fuel your ride. Pedalling through the City of Ghosts (get your phones ready for scenic shots!), you'll reach the expansive Cau Hai Lagoon, situated against a dramatic mountain backdrop. You can expect to encounter a few other people here aside from local Vietnamese families. In the tour app, you'll find some of our recommendations for the best local food to satisfy your appetite. |

Approx 83 km (52 miles), 3-5 hours biking You begin today's cycling on small hills that prepare you for the challenging but scenic climb over the Hai Van Pass. A well-made path snakes up the mountain, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and lagoon below. The majority of traffic goes through a bypass tunnel, so you can expect to enjoy pedalling on a quiet road with a relaxed gradient. The descent down the other side is of equal distance, so you can savour a long meandering cruise to a coastal road that delivers you to Da Nang, a bustling financial capital of the province. After a section of busier suburban roads, you get to witness Da Nang from the vantage points of two of its many famous bridges, and also visit the monument of Lady Buddha. Reaching the end of today's ride, you meet our representative who transfers you to the ancient trade town of Hoi An. This UNESCO-listed town has withstood regular floods and several wars, remaining wonderfully intact and just as charming as ever. |

Once the major intellectual and religious centre of the kingdom of Champa, My Son was rediscovered by French archaeologists in the 19th century and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The cycling route takes you across rivers and through scenic countryside, along rural back roads accessible only by bike and hidden from most tourist routes. Approx. 69 km (43 miles), 4-6 hours biking Leaving Hoi An, you'll likely see many of the market vendors bringing in their produce from neighbouring farms. Today's ride navigates a gravel road through a collection of small fishing villages on another peninsula, where fish are farmed in ponds and ocean winds whip around homes dotted along the shoreline. With a push from the sea breeze, continue pedalling south towards the next stop, Tam Ky, the capital city of Quang Nam Province. After a visit to its notable sights, return to your delightful seaside accommodation, the Tam Thanh Beach Resort, a 3-star beachfront getaway, perfect for a peaceful and calming experience. After settling in, you can take a short walk to the famous Tam Thanh Mural Village, just 15 minutes away from your resort, to relish vibrant street art, or savor a tropical cocktail by the pool. As for dinner, they have a variety of delectable signature dishes including ca chuon nuong (grilled flying fish), mi quang (tumeric-infused rice noodles), and a seafood selection. |

Approx. 60 km (37 miles), 4-6 hours biking Today is one of the few days when you need to spend some of your ride along a larger road. While you can expect to encounter more traffic while cycling, you can be sure the ride will be smooth. Pass through some manufacturing districts before returning to small coastal roads and quaint hamlets, where seafood is pulled straight from the ocean and is cooked for lunch. With a full belly, take a short stretch at the end of your cycling day. Pause at the meeting point, where a driver (with all your luggage) whisks you away to the Son My Memorial — the site of one of the most tragic events of the Vietnam War, the My Lai Massacre. The memorial includes a war history museum, gallery, and sculptures honouring the civilians who lost their lives. It's a moving, thought-provoking site, and if you'd rather skip straight to the end of your tour, that's fine. Meet with our representative for the transfer back to Da Nang, or if you prefer, you're free to make your own onward arrangements. NOTE: This itinerary is provided as an example only – prevailing conditions and local arrangements may cause variation. |

Pre-Existing Medical Conditions and Age Limits
You need to advise Onlyluxe travel and the tour operator on any pre-existing medical condition, mobility impairment and/or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your requiring medical attention, or that might affect the normal conduct of a trip and the enjoyment of other trip members. Onlyluxe Travel and the tour operator may require an assessment of your medical condition from a qualified medical practitioner. If you fail to adequately notify the tour operator of any pre-existing medical conditions and/or disability, the tour operator reserves the right, at its reasonable discretion, to cancel your participation in a trip at any time, including after the commencement of your trip, with no right of refund if your medical condition, mobility impairment and/or disability could be reasonably expected to affect the normal conduct of the trip and the enjoyment of other trip members.
Cancellation by The Tour Operator
The tour operator is at the mercy of nature in all her beauty and all her fury. The tour operator will under no circumstance knowingly place at risk the health and well-being of our guests and guides. In the case of natural threats, acts of God and the like (e.g. bushfires, impassable snow, etc) the tour operator may need to cancel a tour with very little notice. In some cases, this can occur after the tour has commenced. The tour operator reserves the right to cancel any tour up to 60 days prior to departure if the minimum number requirement is unable to meet for a tour. If the tour operator needs to cancel for any reason, the cost of the tour or any other costs associated with travel to the designated pick up point, overnight accommodation, meals, etc will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore we strongly recommend travel insurance be taken out prior to travel.
Force Majeure
'Force Majeure' means (without restriction) any event which Onlyluxe Travel or its third party providers could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. In the case of Force Majeure Onlyluxe Travel will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.
Evacuations
In rare circumstances, due to injury or unforeseen illness, the tour operator may need to evacuate you from a remote part of the walk. Helicopter evacuations are expensive and in most cases will be at a cost to the customer.
For Australian residents, under the Australian Government Medicare Act, it is prohibited for any domestic travel insurance product to provide any financial reimbursement with regard to ambulance or air ambulance services. We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider. Evacuation cost will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore it is also strongly recommended that our customers take out travel insurance to cover (amongst other things) the costs associated with evacuation.
Travel Insurance
In view of the heavy cancellation penalties applied to cancelled reservations in certain circumstances, we strongly recommends suitable travel insurance be purchased at the time the holding deposit is paid. We recommend insurance cover that covers any loss which may be suffered due to cancellation. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance against loss of baggage and medical expenses.
