Classed as one of 'New Zealand's Great Walks' the 60km Abel Tasman Coast Track follows the coastline through lush native bush, over limestone cliffs and along golden sandy beaches within the Abel Tasman national Park. Located at the very top of the South Island, the track opens all season, features beautiful beaches, impressive rock formations and cheeky wildlife. Choose from several multi-day options to suit your walking style. On your journey, discover Cleopatra's Pool, Falls River as you walk the supsension bridge and a myriad of native flora and fauna, including native birds and fur seals.

Abel Tasman Coast Track has easy access from Nelson, which offers a wide range of accommodation options. Nelson has an airport (NSN) and is 75 mins flight from Auckland. You have the option to walk a portion of the trail for a day or the entire length over 3-5 days. Or, if you would prefer paddle power, take a kayak tour.
