Itinerary
Board the Jet this morning and in just under 2 hours you’ll be in the remote and spectacular western Flinders Ranges. Today learn how to use local game such as kangaroo and goat as well as indigenous produce such as quandong, wattle seed and salt bush at the Prairie Hotel. The Prairie Hotel has been voted as one of the 20 unmissable outback experiences by Australian Traveller and has carved out a solid reputation for its outback cuisine. |
Enjoy a scenic flight over Wilpena Pound - the Flinders Ranges' most recognisable land mark, as you depart Parachilna for the Clare Valley. Arriving in the Clare you will then be guided through this picturesque region taking in the highlights of Jesuit Winemakers at Seven Hill and Knappstein. Enjoy lunch at Skillogalee’s vibrant and cosy restaurant where you can enjoy sampling some of Clare’s local produce. Then meet the winemakers themselves and witness why they are famous for their world class, hand crafted wines as you see them in operation. This afternoon head to the Barossa and visit Maggie Beer’s Pheasant Farm for coffee and stock up on her fine selection of delectable produce. Accommodation and dinner: at the beautiful, award winning Kingsford Homestead built in 1856. This luxury country retreat is yours for the next two nights, with all meals prepared by Kingsford’s own first class chef, the very finest Barossa ingredients and paired with local wines. We alternate dinners, so you’ll enjoy a three-course dinner one night and a five-course dinner the next. |
Today you will be guided through the Barossa to witness all that this 'foodie heaven' has to offer. From a behind the scenes walk through historical Seppeltsfield – including tasting their world record breaking lineage of port from your birth year - across to Hutton Vale Farm where you will enjoy a gourmet lunch where over 80% of the produce is from their farm. This afternoon you can choose to either relax and enjoy the magnificent surrounds, the famous outdoor bath or perhaps go on an adventure to visit on of the Barons of the Barossa. |
Tantalise the tastebuds this morning with a breakfast showcasing beautiful, fresh produce, then depart on the Outback Jet for the scenic flight over the Adelaide Hills en route to landing directly at the Coonawarra airstrip, amongst the vines. Visit Wynn’s Coonawarra to learn of their wine making and don a lab coat and try your hand at making your very own Wynn’s blend which you can take home with you. This afternoon enjoy a late, long luncheon at Australia’s premiere producer of full blood Wagyu Beef, Mayura Station. With a menu that showcases some of the finest beef in the world you’re sure to be impressed. Then depart for your short flight home to Melbourne. |
