Approx 27 km (17 miles), 1-2 hours biking Hello, Vietnam! We kick things off in Saigon, where you meet the travelers you’ll be sharing the journey with. We whisk you away to the charming river town of Cai Be — our launchpad for adventure. Following a bike fitting and safety briefing, we hit the gentle pathways of the Mekong Delta, spinning past endless rice fields, family-run farms, and lively villages where saying “hello” is as common as the swaying coconut palms. Along the way, we snack on fresh-picked dragon fruit and the infamous durian. By late afternoon, we roll into Can Tho and hop aboard a boutique sampan. Dinner, drinks, and a Mekong sunset cruise are how we wrap up day one. Retire to your home for the next two nights, the 4-star Victoria Can Tho, which majestically occupies the banks of the Can Tho River. The resort is encompassed by tropical plants perfect for sunbathing and enjoying breathtaking river views. Sink into bed, and let Vietnam’s gentle atmosphere lull you into dreamland. |

Approx 40 km (25 miles), 2-3 hours biking Rise and shine! We bike straight from the hotel, rolling onto a local ferry for one final ride through the Mekong Delta. This area is packed with history — once part of the Khmer Empire, it’s still home to nearly 1.5 million people of Cambodian descent. Expect pagodas, stilted houses, and serene backroads lined with more coconut palms. We weave through verdant landscapes, hop between islands, and work up an appetite for a feast at a local home. The menu might include caramelized pork in clay pots, a fresh pomelo salad, or crispy Mekong-style spring rolls — either way, every bite brings together ngũ vị — the five key flavors of Vietnamese cooking. After lunch, we swap bikes for boats on a breezy 1-hour cruise back to Can Tho. The afternoon is yours — chill by the pool, relish some alone time with a frosty bia hơi (fresh beer) in hand, or maybe play a friendly (but serious) game of Uno. |

Enjoy a cup of coffee and head out for a dash of local charm at one of the Mekong Delta’s last authentic floating markets. Picture boats stacked with fresh produce, vendors haggling over everything from juicy pineapples to fragrant herbs. You should also watch out for the floating noodle vendor! After you’ve had your feel of the bustling market, enjoy a few hours of free time. If you need a break, grab a coffee and do a little tour, or soak it all up before we whisk you away to Saigon for a quick flight to Hue. Checked in, we get your taste buds dancing with dinner at a local restaurant. You could dig into a spicy bowl of bun bo Hue (beef noodle soup), crispy nem Lui (grilled pork skewers), or munch on bánh khoai, a savory pancake stuffed with shrimp. Then, it’s back to our lush resort on the peaceful outskirts of Hue, the Pilgrimage Village, featuring verdant gardens and proximity to historical landmarks. The adventure continues tomorrow, but for now, kick off your trainers and surrender to slumber. |

Approx 45 km (28 miles), 2-3 hours biking Today’s theme is “ancient history”. First, we bike to the iconic Hue Citadel. This UNESCO gem was once the epicenter of ancient kingdoms. It’s an expansive complex, and while parts were ravaged during the war, it adds to its history and character. Then, we pedal on to Thien Mu Pagoda, seven stories, all overlooking the Perfume River. By now, you should have built up quite an appetite — your expert Tour Leader will know just the spot! It’s “all aboard” after lunch, cruising along the river before getting back on our bikes to cycle our way to the sacred tombs of former emperors. Surrounded by verdant Vietnamese countryside, we navigate paradisal rice fields and meticulously cared-for farms, perfect for those postcard-worthy snapshots. To cap the day, we head to a local family’s house for a truly authentic dinner experience, where you learn the true secrets of Hue’s cuisine while exchanging stories and maybe sneaking a second helping. |

Approx 40 km (25 miles), 2-3 hours biking Today, we take on Vietnam’s legendary Hai Van Pass! This 13-mile (21 km) stretch is all about effort and reward, with 10 km (6 miles) of gradual elevation that will have you cruising through the Truong Son Mountain range. The views of the coastline below will have you in awe. Then, cue the reward: a swooping descent with the wind in your hair and a grin you can’t shake. Once we’re safely over the pass, we cycle to Da Nang for a seafood feast. Think fresh catch from the ocean, including shrimp, crab, and fish. Bellies full, we hop in the van for a transfer to the charming town of Hoi An. Your home for the rest of the trip, Hotel Royal Hoi An, is intricately designed with inspiration from the charming love story of Sotaro and Wakuku, a union symbolizing the historical bond between Japan and Vietnam. Checked in and freshened up, we hit the streets for a walking tour of Hoi An’s Old Town. We let you enjoy more than just the tourist spot, sneaking you into some hidden gems. Naturally, sample a few local snacks along the way. By now, you’ve realized that you’re on a food tour with bikes. So, to wrap up the day, we dig into some seriously delectable Hoi An specialties. |

Approx 40 km (24 miles), 2-3 hours biking We cycle across the river this morning, breezing through historical villages, lush rice fields, and vibrant farms. We’re off to My Son, an entrancing cluster of abandoned and partly ruined Hindu temples, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. These ancient temples were built by the Cham people, who were basically the original rulers before the Vietnamese and Khmer took over. The ruins still stand strong, though covered in moss, creating a mysterious, ancient atmosphere. After we’ve had our fill of history, we jump into a van and cruise back to Hoi An, where we pause to meet awesome people at Reaching Out Vietnam. It’s a social enterprise that helps people with disabilities learn valuable skills and build fulfilling careers. These artisans and students are the heart and soul of Hoi An, and their stories will leave you feeling inspired in all kinds of ways. Your only mission for the evening? Track down the best food in Hoi An. Our local Tour Leader can help with a scoop on all the best spots, from street food that’ll make your taste buds dance, to undiscovered treasures only locals know about. |

Today, we swap pedals for paddles! A short walk from the hotel, and we find ourselves hopping into kayaks, ready to paddle our way down the Tu Bon River to a local cooking school. Imagine gliding by Hoi An’s enchanting waterfront and breezing through mangrove forests, all while soaking in some seriously breathtaking views. Once we dock, we don our check hats and learn to whip up some Vietnamese dishes that are sure to impress — talk about a perfect souvenir! Eat your masterpiece, then take some time to do as you please. Take a dip in the hotel pool, stroll through Hoi An’s streets, get a shirt or dress tailor-made (a Hoi An specialty), or treat yourself to a cheeky foot massage. Later in the afternoon, we make our way to Tra Que, Hoi An’s famed organic farm. Because we can’t say goodbye without one last feast, our hosts whip up a signature dish just for us, featuring the freshest ingredients straight from the garden. |

Enjoy breakfast before we take a stroll to our favorite Vietnamese coffee joint, owned by one of the country’s top coffee roasters. Get your coffee geek on with a private tasting where you try everything from the traditional to the trendiest brews — the Vietnamese egg coffee is one to look out for. There’s some free time to take a final stroll through the Old Quarter before our transfer to Da Nang airport. Grab some street snacks or pick up some lovely souvenirs. Then say goodbye to your terrific Tour Leader and top-notch cycling crew. Or maybe it's người đến — until we meet again. While the terrain on this tour is quite flat, there is one day we make our way over the Hai Van Pass, a gradual 6 mi (10 km) ascent. The payoff for the burn? Jawdropping views over the coast and a long, thrilling wind-in-your-hair descent make it totally worth it. Not sure if your legs can make it? E-bikes are optional on this tour if you think you could use a boost, and our Rest & Ride vehicle is always available if you decide you need a break.

You need to advise Onlyluxe travel and the tour operator on any pre-existing medical condition, mobility impairment and/or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your requiring medical attention, or that might affect the normal conduct of a trip and the enjoyment of other trip members. Onlyluxe Travel and the tour operator may require an assessment of your medical condition from a qualified medical practitioner. Cancellation by The Tour Operator
The tour operator is at the mercy of nature in all her beauty and all her fury. The tour operator will under no circumstance knowingly place at risk the health and well-being of our guests and guides. In the case of natural threats, acts of God and the like (e.g. bushfires, impassable snow, etc) the tour operator may need to cancel a tour with very little notice. In some cases, this can occur after the tour has commenced. The tour operator reserves the right to cancel any tour up to 60 days prior to departure if the minimum number requirement is unable to meet for a tour. If the tour operator needs to cancel for any reason, the cost of the tour or any other costs associated with travel to the designated pick up point, overnight accommodation, meals, etc will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore we strongly recommend travel insurance be taken out prior to travel.
Force Majeure
'Force Majeure' means (without restriction) any event which Onlyluxe Travel or its third party providers could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. In the case of Force Majeure Onlyluxe Travel will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.
Evacuations
In rare circumstances, due to injury or unforeseen illness, the tour operator may need to evacuate you from a remote part of the walk. Helicopter evacuations are expensive and in most cases will be at a cost to the customer.
For Australian residents, under the Australian Government Medicare Act, it is prohibited for any domestic travel insurance product to provide any financial reimbursement with regard to ambulance or air ambulance services. We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider. Evacuation cost will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore it is also strongly recommended that our customers take out travel insurance to cover (amongst other things) the costs associated with evacuation.
Travel Insurance
In view of the heavy cancellation penalties applied to cancelled reservations in certain circumstances, we strongly recommends suitable travel insurance be purchased at the time the holding deposit is paid. We recommend insurance cover that covers any loss which may be suffered due to cancellation. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance against loss of baggage and medical expenses.
